Growing up, the story of Hansel and Gretel was one of my favourites. I mean, come on, who wouldn't want to live in a house MADE ENTIRELY OF GINGERBREAD? But, adulting has a way of sucking the fun out of things and calorie counts have a sneaky way of catching up on me. That being said, I learned the hard way that moderation is key (except on special occasions). In this regard, I'm very glad I'm Indian, for if nothing else, I get to cheat more often and dive headfirst into all things celebratory. We're blessed with a healthy libido and a just-a-little-too-healthy sense of family, implying that we push twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings to wed as soon as possible so that we can mark our territory with our people as soon as possible. Or maybe that's just what us Malayalees do.
Here's to my first post, welcoming you to leave a trail of crumbs behind, savouring all that this website has to offer. From being inspired by Ariadne's ball of yarn to make some quaint little decorative pieces for your home as a conversation starter, to fiddling and fumbling around in the kitchen until genius strikes in terms of flavour and texture combinations and ultimately journeying through this very trippy thing called "living" as I discover all the places that my wallet takes me, I hope to light that spark of curiosity in you, with every post.
Another day, another crumb.
